It explains how to request access to our records and outlines what information we hold, the process, applicable timelines and fees, and available remedies.

3) Records Automatically Available (no PAIA request required)
These records are generally available without a formal PAIA request:
- Public website pages and product/service brochures
- Published policies (e.g., Privacy Policy)
- News, announcements and media statements
4) How to Request Access to a Record
- Download and complete PAIA Form 2 (Regulation 7) in full: /assets/forms/form2.pdf.
- Describe the specific record(s) you seek, the form of access required (inspection/copy), and the preferred language.
- Attach a certified copy of your identity document (or company authorisation if applicable).
- Send the completed form to our Information Officer:

Tip: If you request personal information about someone else, include a lawful basis/authority (e.g., mandate, court order). We may refuse or request additional proof to protect third‑party privacy.
5) Fees & Timelines
- Statutory timelines: We will respond within 30 days of receiving a complete request (may extend once for a further 30 days in limited circumstances; you will be notified in writing).
- Fees: Fees may be payable under the PAIA Regulations (e.g., request fee for non‑personal records; access fee for reproduction/printing/electronic media and for time spent searching/preparing records). We will notify you in writing of any fee before processing.
- Deposit: For voluminous requests, a refundable deposit (portion of the access fee) may be required before processing continues.
- Outcome: If access is granted, records will be provided in your chosen form where reasonably possible (viewing, paper copy, or electronic copy).
6) Grounds for Refusal (high‑level)
We may refuse a request in terms of PAIA, including (without limitation) where disclosure would:
- Unreasonably disclose a third party’s personal information or trade secrets; or
- Prejudice the commercial interests or confidentiality of third parties or the company; or
- Breach a duty of confidence, professional privilege, or legal restrictions; or
- Endanger the life/physical safety of an individual or the security of property; or
- Impair the protection of law enforcement or legal proceedings.
Where part of a record is protected, we will provide the remainder (if reasonably severable) with protected portions redacted, and explain the legal basis relied on.
7) Remedies & Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with our decision, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) or approach a court of competent jurisdiction.

9) Availability of this Manual
- This Manual is available free of charge on our website and for inspection at our principal place of business during ordinary office hours.
- On request, we can provide a copy in paper or electronic form. Standard PAIA reproduction fees may apply.
